New to Salt Lake City, or just ready to meet your people? Girl Get After It is a women's community in SLC for ambitious, outdoorsy women, many of whom moved to Utah without knowing a soul. We're equally likely to be planning a ski day, a trail run, or a coffee catch-up, and we meet about twice a month to get outside, try new things, and show up for one another. Whether you're after a ski buddy, a trail-running crew, a workout partner, or just women to grab coffee with, you'll find all of the above here.

What We Get After in Salt Lake City

Sugar House Park is our unofficial SLC headquarters, where we gather for walks, catch-ups, and community events that make a big city feel a little smaller. From there, we fully embrace the Salt Lake lifestyle: trail running in the foothills, skiing all winter, hiking all summer, and saying yes to whatever adventure sounds fun next. We partner with studios like Barry's and Barre3, swap books at Hill's Kitchen and Tea Zaanti, and gather for coffee meetups, outdoor adventures, and seasonal activities. We host around two events a month, and every month looks a little different, but there's always something on the calendar.

  • We are a women-focused community and welcome all people who are comfortable being in women-centered spaces.

  • Sugar House Park is our go-to home base for walks and community events, and from there we head to the foothills for trail runs and hikes, the resorts for ski days lie Brighton and Snowbird, and studios like Barry's and Barre3 for workouts. We also swap books at Hill's Kitchen and Tea Zaanti and gather for coffee around town.

  • About twice a month, with a rotating mix of walks, fitness partnerships, book exchanges, coffee meetups, outdoor adventures, and seasonal activities. Every month looks a little different.

  • We’re obsessed with trying new things, so you name it and we’ve probably done it!

    We love the wellness, fitness and outdoor space - everything from workouts and mental health to outdoor adventures with friends. Our events welcome all ability levels and are low-key, fun and take the intimidation out of doing it alone.

  • GGAI is for all adult ages! We have members who are 18 years old up to 62, with the majority of our members being in their 20s, 30s and 40s.

    We value intergenerational friendships and believe connecting with women from all walks of life is so important.

  • The majority of our events are completely free. There are some instances where activities require having certain equipment (skis, paddle board, rentals etc) which we leave up to the attendees to bring.

    Then, every once in a while studios/hosts we partner with will offer our community a reduced class or workshop fee, often way cheaper than the usual rate.

  • You're in good company. Many of our members moved to Utah without knowing a soul, and Salt Lake has a way of bringing people together from all over. Show up to an event, no experience or fitness level required, and you'll find a ski buddy, a trail crew, or just women to grab coffee with.

  • Not at all. We're equally likely to be on a ski day or a trail run as we are gathering for coffee and a good conversation. Every ability level and interest is welcome.
