We meet up across Seattle's neighborhoods one to two times a month, venture to the Eastside for a chiller vibe, and head out past the city for hikes when the weather cooperates. Welcoming, beginner-friendly, and spread across the area, there's a way in wherever you live.

What We Get After in Seattle

Green Lake is our go-to for a convenient walk-and-talk or run, but we range all over. We've gone tubing and skiing at Snoqualmie, paddled Lake Washington and Lake Union, bouldered at Seattle Bouldering Project, and hiked classics like Rattlesnake Ledge and Bridal Veil Falls. Around town we collab with studios and brands like Inspire, Brooks, and Title Nine, meet up at Stoup Brewing in Cap Hill, and gather for cocktail hours at spots like Art Marble. Most events sit right in the city's neighborhoods, with regular trips to the Eastside or up Highway 90 and Highway 2 to get some real mountain time.

    Let’s face it, we’ve all been a part of those free Facebook groups before. You know - the ones you join but never actually go to anything or connect with anyone? Yeah… those! GGAI is not another Facebook group, and we’re so proud of the engagement and interaction our communities have.

  • We are a women-focused community and welcome all people who are comfortable being in women-centered spaces.

  • All over the city and beyond. Green Lake is our regular spot for walks and runs, and we also paddle Lake Washington and Lake Union, boulder at Seattle Bouldering Project, hike Rattlesnake Ledge and Bridal Veil Falls, and gather at spots like Stoup Brewing and Art Marble. We venture to the Eastside and up into the mountains off 90 and Highway 2, too.

  • One to two times a month, with a mix of walks, runs, paddles, hikes, bouldering, studio collabs, and neighborhood hangs spread across the area.

  • We’re obsessed with trying new things, so you name it and we’ve probably done it!

    We love the wellness, fitness and outdoor space - everything from workouts and mental health to outdoor adventures with friends. Our events welcome all ability levels and are low-key, fun and take the intimidation out of doing it alone.

  • GGAI is for all adult ages! We have members who are 18 years old up to 62, with the majority of our members being in their 20s, 30s and 40s.

    We value intergenerational friendships and believe connecting with women from all walks of life is so important.

  • The majority of our events are completely free. There are some instances where activities require having certain equipment (skis, paddle board, rentals etc) which we leave up to the attendees to bring.

    Then, every once in a while studios/hosts we partner with will offer our community a reduced class or workshop fee, often way cheaper than the usual rate.

  • Show up to an event. Our Seattle chapter is welcoming and beginner-friendly, with events spread across the city's neighborhoods so there's usually one near you. No experience or fitness level required.

  • Not at all. We balance water time, mountain time, and city hangs, with plenty of beginner-friendly events, so every ability level and interest fits right in.
