this is for…
This weekend is designed for women who feel comfortable on skis/splitboard and are ready to take a step into the backcountry—intentionally and with guidance. This is for you if you:
Are an intermediate to advanced downhill skier/snowboarder who can confidently navigate a variety of off-piste resort terrain
Have some touring experience (you’ve used skins, done a few uphill laps, or explored low-angle terrain with friends)
Own or have access to backcountry gear (touring setup, skins, beacon, shovel, probe) and know the basics of how to use it
Feel excited to learn more—from avalanche awareness and terrain assessment to transitions and efficient movement
Value a supportive, non-intimidating environment where you can ask questions, build skills, and grow your confidence
Are here for the experience: time outside, meaningful connection, laughs on the skin track, and trying something new
This is not for…
To keep this experience safe, aligned, and enjoyable for everyone, this weekend isn’t the best fit if you:
Are brand new to skiing/snowboarding or still building foundational downhill skills
Have no prior touring experience (this isn’t an intro-to-skiing or first-time-on-skins weekend)
Are looking for high-consequence terrain, aggressive objectives, or “sendy” lines
Prefer to move fast, cover a lot of ground, or prioritize performance over group pace and learning
Aren’t open to a guided, group-based experience with an emphasis on education and decision-making
Backcountry travel comes with inherent risk. Our goal is not to eliminate that reality, but to approach it with intention, education, and respect.
You’ll be supported by experienced guides who will lead terrain selection and decision-making throughout the weekend, while also integrating real-time education to help you become a more informed backcountry partner. This is a space to build awareness, ask questions, and deepen your understanding—without pressure to “perform.”
